But, this is designed for those who don't care about efficiency. These are designed to be aesthetically pleasing green-washed tech for those who want a cool virtue signaling story. ...you know, to show others how much better they are than the proletariats who use that cheap carbon energy stuff. 
I mean, I think that we can all agree that this is no different than their $140k electric car. (it's no Nissan Leaf)
