Are they new pistons?
If not I wouldn't pay more than $800 to $1k.
The five-blade fan is worthless, the heads are plentiful, the cases even in this market are not that sought after. Five years ago you couldn't give these parts away.
If its a new piston set to go with the case that would change it. The airbox isn't worth much, nor are the other parts (shroud, fan as I said, the chain housings, etc).
At the end of the day it's still a 2.7 that needs complete assembly and finishing which is still big $$$.
Depends on what you want to do with it. If you're selling put it out there to see what offers you get (and set the price a little higher). I wouldn't expect much unless it has new pistons. The case can be set up for not that much money - I would check on current labor prices from reputable Porsche machine shops and then add that to the case.
Plus nowadays people are getting funny about 'numbers matching' even on mid-year cars, so there you go.
