In the front of the fuel filler is this vent or breather. What is it, what does it do? Yesterday I started hearing a harmonic noise and this was the source. The sound was intermittent like a pump turning on for ~ 10 seconds then off for 20-30 seconds. I covered it with my finger, it felt like suction. The sound would stop when covered.
