Wow, my last update was in July. Well, not a lot has happened to the car so few pictures have been taken. The car is fully stripped and awaiting a spot at J3 Restorations in Columbia, TN for paint stripping and rust repair. Rich should have a spot open in the next few months (I need to bug him again).
Buuut...the most important thing that has happened is that Bruce Abbott (aka flat6pac) has rebuilt the motor!!! We decided to take it to him on our way to the yearly Vintage BMW meet we go to
The Vintage 2016 in NC. Because the car had been sitting so long and the engine "ran when it was parked" we weren't sure what to expect and wanted it completely disassembled and gone through. Bruce went above and beyond as this engine had seen some abuse!! It needed a lot of new parts, but it is all healed now. Here it sits next to its new friend - Dad's Slate Blue '83 SC with 38K.
