OK, Gents,
I have a question for the collective opinion of the Pelican braintrust on the value of a Mid-Year coupe in today's market.
I'm looking at a 1975 Coupe and was wondering what a reasonable price to pay would be. A few important notes:
- Rust-free, solid body
- Repaint in the attractive original color (sub-par/poor repaint, but a good 5 footer)
- 250K miles on chassis
- 100K on a rebuild of the original 2.7 (upgraded fan, cooling, exhaust, ~no C-tensioners)
- Nice (mostly redone) interior with a nice dash
- 15" Fuchs
- No record of accidents
- Non-sunroof/manual windows
- A/C not functional (surprising, right?)
- Suspension in decent condition
- Trans shifts fine without any noise or syncro crunches
- Runs decent, but doesn't feel particularly strong
- Most everything seems to work
The car has a good number of records and has been serviced by a reputable shop. Overall, the car presents well.
Given that info, what would you expect is a reasonable price to pay for such a car in this market?
Thanks!
