Acceleration times
Well...I finally got the chance to test my 0-60 times with a g-tech meter today, which, for the most part, are fairly accurate. 1/4 mile times are coming this weekend when I run my car up at the track (can't you tell I just saw the fast and the furious last night?). Here's what I got on a totally flat road in an industrial park with a 180 lb driver, 170 lb passenger, full tank of gas (140 pounds or so), 60 pounds or so of stereo equipment and other junk, heavy ass 17" replica wheels and not abusing my clutch (i.e. you can't smell it...well, I could after my slowest run) with the slightest hint of wheel spin:
5.48 sec
5.15 sec
5.14 sec
5.18 sec
5.15 sec
Not bad for a 17 year old car with a 4 cylinder, huh?
All I have done to it is autothority stage II chips, lindsey boost enhancer and Turbo Tim's 3" cat back exhaust, running on 255/40 17 sumitumo HTRZ-II street tires in the rear.
I think I could break into the high 4's if I didn't have a passenger and less gas in the car.
I don't trust the HP readings, but the g-tech told me on 3 runs that I did that I had 245 RWHP, 237 RWHP, and 248 RWHP, putting in 3400 pounds for the car and its cargo (2850 for the car, 350 in passengers, 140 in gas, 60 in other junk). Seems a little high, doesn't it?
Does anybody else have acceleration times, 1/4 mile times, or dyno slips they would care to share?
