Well this ship may have been named after the WW2 ship which in turn was named after this town, so kind of the same thing. BTW I got the homeport wrong, Halifax is home port for all this class ship, I think.
In any case, thanks for looking. From Muskogee to the gulf by which water way? I'm guessing the Arkansas and the mighty Mississippi, ??
