Yes, my mistake. I'm too used to calling it just "Eureka". I don't know anyone who calls it by the whole name.
I can't even explain what a great time I had today. Everyone was so cool and helpful. I never made it past the 356, 912, and long hood sections to see the other cars. We were all just talking and into it I never moved really, about eight hours of just having fun with people and cars. It was nice to see details and colors in person.
There was a revving contest, to see who's motor sounded the best, a toss up for sure. A guy from Tulsa had a 356 with an Abarth exhaust that sounded like the tightest engine I've ever heard. He said it was rebuilt 20 years ago.
They had two antique stunt planes do a flyover, barrel rolls, et cetera... the kids went insane!
I really liked talking with the 356 and longhood guys. They seemed to understand my restoration. Invited me and the lil' woman to try seats, and especially were really cool with my youngsters who are in total awe of these early cars. The whole experience was really wonderful.
