Air-cooleds have only recently graduated from being clunky souped-up VWs in the eyes of snotty collectors. But go ahead and try to pretend that collector car guys are immune to trends and herd psychology.

And the less said about 930xx's hilarious market "insight" the better.

And for the record I have virtually no interest in owning a 930.
Squirrel, I remember not too many years ago you could purchase a really nice driver turbo for 25k-30K. When I purchased my current turbo, it was at the beginning of the blast off. I got in at nearly double what I had originally planned. At the peak, there were some low 6 figure cars for sale. I think you may be off regarding all these collectors and $150k cars. Just did not see it. Sure, there were some time machines that sold.

Just my opinion, I think the nice drivers have settled into a 70K-85K range. quiet a nice range. It really comes down to what someone wants and are willing to pay. I am all for capitalism and profit, but believe some of these unscrupulous flippers and dealers ran the price up on these cars and let greed take over. I would like to believe there is quiet a few 930's sitting because they were purchased too high.
