Broke A Trailer Axle
Broke a axle on my Foam Insulation Trailer....Facts 42 year old trailer, Dual axle 7000lb, Electric breaks, Goose neck. Basically hit a curb at a loading dock 65 miles from home and I look behind me and I see a wheel and a break assembly on the ground behind me. This trailer is our main source of income and some times it is close to 13K lbs. It was close to 3PM and I get hold of a mobile Trailer repair and he was there in 30 minutes. and I was driving home @ 6;30
Question is would you replace 1 or both axles?
With both I get all new breaks, bearings and new mounts
With one I save $800 but keep looking in the rear view mirror.
