One never knows what might turn up, Hugh. My grandparents lived in same house from about 1925 until the late sixties. My grandad, an avid gardener, lost his wedding ring while tending his fruit trees during WWII.
A few months after my grandad passed in `72 there came a knock on my grandmother's door. Having met him only once, she didn't recognize the man who had purchased their long-time home, but she never again forgot him, as he brought with him a gold ring he he'd unearthed while working in his garden.
