I like the pre WWII Colt Officers Models in 38 Special and 22 rimfire. Nice size, weight and usually have an excellent trigger. Sights are adjustable for both windage and elevation. This is an E and I frame gun, same as the Python so there are lots of grip options. Here is one from 1930 in 38 Special.
