I've been doing my own lot, and driveway for the last 5-6 years, and I also blast out the church behind me for free, as it is easy and kind of fun.
I put together a dedicated plow truck for this season, and just took on a few small contracts. I am sure that when I am out , I can dig up a bunch more work if I want to .
I find, that since I have had a truck/plow, that I look forward to big snows, gives me a reason to go out and play with my toys a little bit instead of watching it snow out the window .
One of my old Landlords had a plow business, and I remember that he would easily make big piles of money when it came down hard .
Here is my plow rig, bought it in June for 1500.00 with the plow and salt spreader, spent my spare time patching it up this summer , and painted it work truck white a few weeks back.
