My first two cars were VW bugs. The 60 model had 36 HP and topped out at 70. The second car was a 73 Bug with 60 HP and pegged out at redline in 4th at 90. Then the 1974 914 with a huge 95 HP. I got it into triple digits once or twice. The only time I have been pulled over in the 911 was the cop looking for a "late model" white 911 that was stolen. That was in the late 1990s (the previous millennium) and not late model. I have not had a ticket since the 1970s.
