. If I were the OP, I would absolutely shoot that Python before passing it on to his son, so the boy wouldn't have any qualms about using it as it was intended, and not view it in terms of $. I'm not like you...
I had no idea my Diamondback (virtually like new) was worth more than I imagined until you told me some years back....but would I rather have never enjoyed it (NIB) and had a few grand in my pocket...no.
Many folks have driven a new car off the lot and taken a similar "hit" by the time they got home...I just don't care about $ in some instances...that Python would be one
