My FIL didn't eat like a barn animal, but he sort of grunted while he was eating, like...um, um, um. My MIL got kind of loud when she'd had a few. But ya know what? I really miss the Thanksgivings with them, since they are both deceased. Yeah, I liked my in-laws.
Today, my wife and I spent the morning and early afternoon in the kitchen, getting dinner together for my 92 yr old dad's visit. First Thanksgiving since my mom passed away in June, so it was kind of bittersweet.
I'll put up with any relative's or parent's foibles, since we're all getting of that age and pretty soon all there will be are memories.
All and all, a good day, and I didn't have to leave the kitchen.
