To be honest, until I read that you're a surgeon I was going to say "Absolutely get a 2002" - I would think that you need something really reliable; which the 2002 can't always be. Although the Mustang is 'boring', being a 2012 model year, it is reliable. I don't think having 2 older cars is the way to go. Just my 2 cents. Let us know how you decide to proceed.
