I obviously have not read his contract with Mercedes. I would guess that somewhere in there is a clause that the driver will obey team orders. Hamilton should be held to the terms of the contract. He is paid a LOT of money to do his job. It really is that simple, do the job you are paid to do, and if you don't follow the terms of the contract there should be consequences spelled out in the contract.
