I agree with this - but not the rest of your comment. They can fail you for not having an "OEM" exhaust. If it came with a cat, in theory you need a cat. Don't waste your time reading all 96 pages of the attached - page 13 is all you need.

I stick by my earlier post to find a sympathetic mechanic.
