Granny's Beans....

Granny's beans....
This recipe is not accurate as to the amounts. I usually just use what looks right to me.
2 large can of pork and beans
5 or 6 pieces of bacon (partially cooked)
1/2 lb. of pork sausage (not hot) cooked and drained
1 very small can of Ortega chilis (chopped)
one medium onion chopped
4 or 5 stalks of celery chopped
1 small bottle of Ketchup
1/2 box dark brown sugar
1 tbls. of dried mustard
Open beans and drain all of the sauce that is in each can (dispose of sauce )
cook chopped onions and celery in a frying pan until tender
Mix all ingredients in long cake pan
you may not need all of the Ketchup.
save some of the brown sugar to put on top then place the bacon on top.
bake in oven about 250 degrees for about one hr or two until nice and brown on top and beans look a little bit dry. (not soupy.)
