I had the same issue with my rarlyl8 headers and called Brian about it and he basically said that if I loosen everything and move it around I could get it to work. It was tight, but he was right.
I loosened nut on the oil tube where it goes into the engine and rotated the tube so where it goes across above the headers was moved up, and then moved the clamp that attaches to the cam chain cover bolt and holds the tube in place over one bolt to the left. I extended the clamp length so that the tube now crosses just a hair below the original bolt that the clamp was attached to, so it is a good bit higher than it was. The top of the tube basically rests against the motor, but it isn't pressed hard against it or bending the oil tube. See pic below.
That, along with loosening the header and reattaching in a different order made it work even though I thought, like you do, that it would never fit.
