Congratulations on your progress, keep up the good work!

Radiation is going fairly well, about 1/2 way through as of today. The old proboscis is getting redder/drier everyday, but so far not really uncomfortable. No chemo anticipated as it appears that the cancer is only in my nose tissues. Surgery tentatively scheduled for late January or February. They will sequentially remove portions of my nose until they find a "clear margin", then do a reconstruction to recover as much functionality as possible.

They tell me it's possible that some cancerous cells may have spread to my lungs or liver, but current scans are totally clear. I'm planning on keeping it that way.

Had a bit of a step back with sort of an unrelated issue. Seems I can't walk and chew gum as I had a bit of a stumble last week. Trip to the ER Saturday morning, a possibility that I had fractured my patella and/or torn my ACL. However, a follow up doc visit confirmed that it was merely a severe sprain. Still painful, but better and managed a few steps without crutches today. As we say around here...when it rains, it pours...lol.

Thanks very much for the encouragement, it is appreciated!

Cheers! Bill
