Can a new style speedo drive be installed in an early transmission?
Transmission gurus,
Can the speedo drive sensor from a late style transmission be installed in an early transmission? There is a hole there with some kind of plug recessed in it. It looks like the plug would need to be removed and then possibly the hole would need to be tapped and then the transmitter would fit.
The question is if it is possible to put it in and the even bigger question is if it would work once it is installed.
