I have also wondered if there is enough space to fit the perforated panel behind the rim of the hole in the valance. Take advantage of the turned lip.

I have now sold quite a few sets of these and the response regarding fit has been good with no mentions of a twist or curve required....however, I do not have any installation pix yet.
