Personally I'm not a fan of Curil T, never fails to leak for me.
I have 2 unopened tubes here both from supertec kits. I'll never use them. 
Only place I use RTV is the base shims,
If you're a RTV hater you can use something like Elring Dirko....oh wait that's also RTV....or maybe...damn it's RTV again
