Improving equipment is like building more lanes on a crowded highway.
More lanes and less traffic make more people drive and traffic increases again. Better equipment in contact sports leads to harder hits at higher speeds. Hockey, football, lacrosse.
The 'solutions' don't solve the problems, they exacerbate them.
