I play crib, poker, pool and shuffleboard every Thursday night with the same group of guys. We play Calgary Crib (with the extra card) for $1 for high hand and $5 a game. Poker is $1 a hand and one $0.25 raise. Pool and shuffleboard is $2 a game. It's not about the money, it's about a group of friends getting together for the last 36 years. We started in Sept of 1980. The taunts, long running jokes and general silliness that occurs is a result of the long term friendships.

Being invited is a bonus in a work environment. Go and check it out. If the stakes are too high say thanks but no thanks and then set up a skeet/trap night and invite the inner circle to join you at the range.
