help: multiple Q's
got it off the road to do:
rear wheel bearings
shift rod seal on tranny
brakes
heat controls
test injector flow
any other oil leaks
not much.
1 cant get the small tranny seal out and don't want to damage the case. considering removing the tail end of the tranny to get it out. plan is to replace the tranny vent with a plug and stand it on its end. (just changed fluid about 20k miles ago).
anything I need to know about pulling the tail end off.
2 brakes. it had the blue brake fluid in it when I got the car. brakes have sucked since I bought. my 77s would easily out brake the 930. the 930 would fade after 2-3 hard stops. put new rotors on the front along with better pads, had mintex, but then so did my 77. I did not have any blue fluid so I went back with I think DOT 4. after it sounds like the MC makes a squeeking sound and brakes still not that good. sounds like rubber squeekng. I have all 4 calipers off, the rear ones apart. had some sticky pistons on the rear,.
no leaks, any need to replace the seals? pistons look good. (already had the fronts apart). the pistons don't seem to move very easily which may be a good thing as far as seals being bad.
was thinking of removing the MC just to take it apart and clean it up.
I have heard once its had the blue stuff in there you cant go back to regular fluid.
it looks like a major pain to remove the MC. is it worth my time.
I though maybe cleaning off all the old blue stuff might help.
was also going to flush the lines.
3 I rebuilt the scavenge pump a while back but still looks like there might be a small oil leak. is there a seal on the cam shaft that needs to be replaced.
