Depends a great deal on where you are, but it's a beautiful driving state and I still miss it more than 25 years after moving to So. CA. I grew up in Richmond in the 70's and 80's and there were lots of great driving roads back then even within the city limits. I terrorized the city in a dilapidated TR4 on bias ply tires so maybe the speed threshold for scaring oneself was somewhat less than what might excite you in a 911.

Skyline Drive is magical but has a speed limit of 45mph. Still worth doing.
