Good morning all. It is kinda nippy here as well. The temperature doubled on my trip in according to my in car thermometer. It started at 3 and got up to 6 on the highway just blocks from the office. With luck I will never see the temperature double in 10 minutes ever again. Of course it was in the garage so it took it two miles to get to 3.
I remember one of the really dumb blondes I used to work with was concerned her car would get extra cold from the wind chill of driving on the highway at 70 so she drove city streets at 40. I was so stunned I thought she was kidding at first but she really believed it. I told her that a car or any non living thing was not affected by wind chill. Only a warm blooded animal that has an intrinsic body heat like a human at 98 degrees will see a loss of temperature of wind chill. Sure the radiator works really well in cold temps but the thermostat will keep it at the proper temp. And I am not talking of temps like minus 70. Lots of issues on machines at those extreme temps but they sure don't "feel" it. We don't ever see those temps around here.
