If it is leaking from the green arrow then, Yes, it is leaking from the fitting. If it is leaking at the red arrow it is leaking from the hose.

A common misconception about these crimped fittings is that they will leak from where you see the hose protruding from the crimp collar. That isn't where the hose connection is.

The crimp collar is simply a metal tube that covers the hose so the end of the hose is right next to the hex headed end and when it starts to fail it will leak from that gap. (marked with red arrow)
