One of my SC hoses had exactly the same issue. I tried tightening and twisting to no avail. I ordered a new hose here and installed it. A month or so later, I noticed the other had started to leak. Ugh, $$$ now versus doing something twice???? Lesson learned the hard way.
Nice and dry now.
