Posts are still facing outer fender but as long as I remove the negative terminal first (and breaking the circuit between the battery and car), I have no issues with the positive terminal's proximity to the fender and can run my wrench into the fender without risk/worry of causing a short.[/QUOTE]
I dont believe this is true. If you short the positive to the chassis you will get a spark and weld your wrench to the battery and the car :-) BTDT
