Rebuilding 1969 911S to Orig specs
I'm just beginning the process of rebuilding my 1969 911s. The crank is good. The case is about to be line bored and the cylinders will be honed to 81 mm for matched JE pistons (9.8:1). Cams were refreshed years ago by Web Cam. The MFI system was rebuilt by H&R in the eighties; now has only a few thousand miles on it. Does anyone have some interesting experiences that will help me get the most of my engine? Does anyone care to convince me to go with a different configuration, i.e. 2.2L. I appreciate all recommendations.
