FWIW. When high voltage ignition components get dirty or when insulation gets worn and wet, you can get misfire or non starting.
I have had this happen several times. On VW Beetles (air cooled) I have had to clean the insulators on the spark plugs. Usually after the first rain of the year. This solved the problem each time.
On my daughter's car recently, I had to replace the plug wires to fix the no start issue.
If you take it to the dealer or mechanic, most likely they will replace components to fix the issue.
The question is, do coil pacs need to be replaced periodically? Or will routine maintenance take care of your problem. An expert on these models may know the answer.
