I disagree with you MM. It maybe pointless if the only purpose here was to build a fastest sport bike. However, this project merges the R11S with engineering technology that looks just way cooler than what you will find on the run of the mill bikes of today. The objective here should be identified as building the fastest R11S.
I came close on several occasions to selling my BCR, but luckily for me I've not followed through. My bike is mostly stock, with several reversible mods. Although I'm not a hardline purist, I do tend to lean towards stock rather than heavily modified. With the prices of R11S, including BCR, are somewhere around their ankles this would be a very cool mod to pursue. I'm sure one day the public will wake up to BCR's and clean low mileage R11S but that's in a time far away from today. In the meantime, life goes on and I certainly won't need this mod 20 years from now. Having said that I wouldn't mind having one of the fastest R11S around and this would be the way to scratch that itch.
