The is kind of hearsay, I heard it on the radio (not Rush), some states have already talked about not recognizing the CA DL as acceptable identification b/c of this. The biggest reason is not whether someone is an illegal immigrant or not, they are concerned about it being a valid documentation considering how easily obtainable it will be w/ this legislation.

Any form of identification is excepted w/ a thumbprint that cannot even be shared w/ law enforcement. So theoretically, I could have a military ID from Iraq, real or fake, and use to get a DL under a different name making it even easier to establish a new identity.

I honestly can’t say I know how much of this gets through the system already but it seems to me that we are going backwards and just making it easier. This bill is focused on illegal immigrants but there are a whole lot of other illegal types that I think we should be worried about.
