I've driven both: early cars feel a bit more.. mechanical? The 964 and 993 feel much more modern, especially shifting. I find I have way more fun in my middie, for about an hour, then I'd rather be in a later car.
I'm hoping I can find a 993 C4S to use when my wife is with me, and daily drive to work, keep the '74 as a street legal go kart.
