Oil cooler pipe bust, but no loss of oil
Hi everyone
I was having a look under the rad today and noticed that the oil cooler pipe which enters the bottom of the oil cooler radiator had completely broken off at some point - and obviously the PO didn't want to fix it so, bless him, he went to the infamous lebanese mechanic who found a solution.
Did he bypass the oil cooling rad?
Where is the likeliest place he would do that?
Or, horror (!) does a valve open when the engine gets very hot and oil will flow through this 'circuit' which at the moment is redundent?
looking up from the bottom of the car upwrds and following the oil line it goes to a cylinder which is near the front of the car on the drivers side, which has a viewing hole fro the top and two elecrical wires going to it. Any more info about this would be greatly appreciated
