It is nice to live on top of the hill and about 5 feet up from the street. Will never have flooding here ... Let's hope we get some good snow pack out of this up in the Sierra. This much rain is pretty useless down here close tot the bay once the local reservoirs are full.

Better hope the hill is stable. The west hills of Portland experience slides from time to time. Every year there is a "street of dreams" home show. Showplace homes worth $ millions. One year, one of them slid into the property below. I don't know how it all worked out legally...
(edit) Actually Western Oregon sees slides frequently. It's when roads and housing is involved that it becomes newsworthy.
