I did actually get the flu a couple of years ago. It was the first time in over 25 years. My wife and never before seen me take a sick day. It is not like I go to work sick, I just almost never get sick.
Richard's biggest challenge is his sore throat. He tries his home remedies but the reason his throat is sore is the snot running down his throat. To stop that prescription medication used to be the only option. Now products like Flonase to snort and Zyrtec-D are over the counter. Flonase is an inhalant that stays in the sinuses. Zyrtec-D are available but it is like buying condoms in the old days. In Oklahoma we have to show our driver's license and they scan it before we can even buy it.
It also helps to go see a real doctor at the first signs of the flu. They do have medicine that helps but you have to take it at the start of the Flu.
The biggest trick is stay away from kids and don't get exposed.
