This machete has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. One of my earliest memories is my dad chopping corn with it. He was in the Philippines in WW II and I have a vague memory of overhearing him tell someone that he got it there, but nothing concrete. It has always been stored in this canvas OD scabbard with seems to fit it and makes me think it is military - maybe Japanese? The only markings are what looks like a bulldog face stamped into the blade. It has a riveted on bakelite handle. It's not in great condition and I doubt that it has any value, but knowing more about it would help complete our family history. Can anyone help?
