Disregard Hagerty those numbers are useless.

The 964 is one of the lowest production of all air cooled 911's the C2 coupe's are most desirable. C4 coupes second all 89's were C4's but all the 89 and 90 along with part of the early 91's had no rings on the engine and had a bad design dual mass later updated. As you get further along in the production life of the 964 the car changed dramatically with nearly every part changed in one way or another. the most desirable other than the RSA's are the 92-94 MY cars. Low production numbers like 160 for US spec MY 94 C2's and 460 of all C2/C4 MY 93's make them hard to come by. Also remember these numbers included tip trans cars as well.

If you want a nice 964 start doing some research there is a ton to learn before you buy. Also be weary it is next to impossible to find a good one for sale most are in great need of work or have bad history. I would rate the average a less than # 4 condition for sale but still command $24k or more. In fact a rolled ex racer C2 sold on BAT for $24k recently. If you want a late MY in excellent condition with low mileage expect to pay north of $60k for one if you can find it. Or by one for less and expect to put $20k into it.
