I don't want a Singer either. There are plenty of cars I could afford to buy and do not, (including an early 911S), I just don't see the cost:value ratio in them.
Forgive me for describing you as rattled. When someone is affected by something to the extent that they are still talking about it years later, I'd call that rattled. If I talk about something that happened more than once, it rattled me.
