Hello all, so my fan belt isn't squealing, but I have almost an inch and a half to two inches of give and it looks kind of old, so I want to change it. Few questions, I've read through the writeup on Pelican and a few other threads.
- My toolkit doesn't have a pulley wrench and the one that comes up for my 1986 isn't the two pronged spanner type, but the half moon one with a single tooth on the end. I see holes in my pulley, but not on top of the pulley, which is the right wrench?
- I don't see the shims at all, inside or outside of the pulley, should I be able to see them? My current belt is a 710 and seems really loose, but the two halves of the pulley seem to be flush to each other which suggests my shims are all out - shouldn't that make i too tight?
