The Oklahoma City itself is 620 square miles. It completely surrounds about a dozen other cities. Each city has it own laws. Some cities are silly restrictive. Nichols Hills flat does not allow a pickup truck to be parked in view of the street. Even if it is on your own driveway. It has to be inside the garage or out of view. Other cities like The Village (not a Village but THE Village) have relaxed rules just don't speed at all in the Village or Nichols Hills.
The metro area is over 1,000 square miles. Kinda spread out.
