Hiring somebody is probably a good way to go. What is the OD of the coupling at the vent? I installed a vent for the dryer using 3" ABS flush with the outside wall. The vent pipe was 3" OD and slid right inside the ABS. You might be able to do something like that where you use a stiff tube to go from the outside wall to near the fan assembly and hook it up with flex tube.
