I replaced because the Grohe or Hansgrohe didn't work very well IMO. They had the double worm drive and soft rubber ring to the seat. For some reason - one of the hot water valves stopped working. Sometimes debris would get in the seat and cause a slow leak. They are not resistance to over tightening damage during shutoff. I got tired of the high prices and hard to get parts and decided to start replacing toward using Delta. I was reading a forum where plumbers appeared to be members and a number of them said Delta was the best. I'm in the same boat not sure how long "lifetime" is for me or the fixture. At some point I won't like curling up in a ball under sinks to make repairs.
