I am looking at a 2007 997 manual Turbo tomorrow, 27,000 kms. I believe IMS/RMS are not issues with this case but not sure about d-chunk or other problem areas. I will be getting a ppi...anyone help feed my paranoia/help with pointing out areas to check specifically?
Thanks

The Turbo cars all carry the Mezger engine, which is completely bullet proof and entirely different than the M96/97 engine found in the normally aspirated cars. The only major concern on these cars is that Porsche used glued in water hose connections, which are well known to come loose and leak. A lot of tracks will not let cars with the factory fittings out due to problems with them dumping their coolant all over the place. Fixing this problem is straight forward; you either have to drill and pin the fittings before they start to leak, or replace them with welded versions to prevent any chance of leaks. The downside is either of these options requires removing the engine to do this.
