Dear God lady, there is no discount or prize for digging for those pennies. I will usually pull out a quarter or dollar and give it to the cashier just to get them out.

But on the other side how about those paying with plastic who fudge up their pass codes....or their card doesn't "work'....meanwhile the card reader asks an assortment of questions before finishing the transaction...do you want an emailed receipt...do you want cash back...do you want a fuel additive....zip code please.....
